I’m not a big fan of going to the gym in the summer. Spending a beautiful day full of sunshine at the gym just doesn’t seem right to me. Instead, I prefer to exercise outside in the summer. I really love running and hiking in the woods. However, working out on a humid day makes me feel less than fresh afterwards. I’m usually a sweaty mess after a workout. Of course, the best way to freshen up after a workout is to take a shower. But if you find yourself low on time, here’s a list of products that can help you freshen up in five minutes or less.
Product: Cleansing Wipes
What it’s for: Wiping the sweat off your face after a workout.
Best for: A girl looking for a quick, easy and time saving way to clean your face in a couple of seconds.
Product: Spray On Sunscreen
What it’s for: Spray on sunscreens are the most foolproof and fastest way to apply sunscreen. My current favorite is from Hawaiian Tropic because it moisturizes your skin as well.
Best for: Girls who do outdoor exercise and are exposed to the sun.
Product: Breath Freshener
What it’s for: These cool mini sized toothbrushes gently clean and freshen your breath on the go.
Best for: The girl who wants to freshen their breath and doesn’t want to walk around with a toothbrush in their gym bag.
Product: Foot Wipes
What it’s for: Cleaning your feet after a workout. I love the Jasmine Seven Fresh Feet Wipes which contain peppermint, aloe vera and vitamin e that help moisturize and freshen your feet.
Best for: Anyone who does yoga or has stinky feet.
Product: Foot Spray
What it’s for: Cooling and reviving your feet after an intense workout.
Best for: The Yogi, people who workout barefoot or anyone who just wants to freshen up their feet. I use this right after yoga class and taking a shower.
Product: Bright Lip Color
What it’s for: Giving your lips a healthy summer glow and a hint of color.
Best for: Those days when you want to add a bit of color to your face. If you’re looking for a natural, barely noticeable flush, I’d recommend the Sonia Kashuk Lip and Cheek Balm. If you’re looking for a color that is buildable (from sheer to super pigmented), try the Almay Liquid Lip Balms. If you’re not afraid of the super bright lip look which is a huge trend for summer, go for the Pixi Shea Butter Lip Butter in Coral Crush. It’s the perfect bright summer lip color that is super fun to wear.
Product: Dry Shampoo
What it’s for: Keeping your hair clean and fresh on the go.
Best for: The girl who wants to freshen up their hair post workout and does not have enough time to take a shower. This product is especially a lifesaver for girls with oily hair. My current favorite is the travel size version from Lulu Organics in Lavender + Clary Sage (how adorable is the vintage packaging?) because I can easily slip it into my gym bag.
Product: Eye Cream
What it’s for: Providing moisture to your eye area.
Best for: Anyone who wants to keep their eyes moisturized throughout the day. Putting a little eye cream on top of your concealer can also help soften your makeup if your concealer starts creasing on you. Right now, I’m loving the Advanced Anti-Aging Eye Cream from SuperGoop with SPF 37 (yep, your eyes need sunscreen too!).
